大田資料

　以下で紹介するのは日下周一の縁筋ににあたる大田明生（あけみ）さんよりご提供いただいたもので、大田さんの許可を得て公開することにした。

　大田さんご自身が日下に興味を持たれ、米国への留学の際に日下が勤めていたスミスカレッジとプリンストン大学のアーカイブセンターから収集されたものである。

　なお、９６年にカナダ・バンクーバーへ行き、日下のお姉さんに当たる岩田春子さんを訪問したとのことである。その時、岩田さんは８５歳だった由。岩田さんは戦争中、日系カナダ人ということもあり、強制収容所に入れられ苦労をなさったというようなことを話したという。
