概 要
恒星の有効温度を文献上から収集し,1231星,2335デ−タを納めたカタログCASTETを作成した.
恒星を特徴づける基本的物理量として大事なのは,有効温度,表面の重力加速度,および元素の組成比である.なかでも有効温度は恒星全体から放射される輻射の総量を決めるパラメータとして最も重要な量と言うことができる.
恒星からの放射を黒体放射と見なすと,地球表面で観測される全放射量 f は
f = θ^2σ(Teff)^4/4,
と書くことができる.ここで,θ は恒星の視直径,σ はステファン・ボルツマン定数,そしてTeff が有効温度である.全波長範囲に及ぶ恒星からの放射量を積分した値 f を求めるには地上における可視光の観測に加え,人工衛星等を用いて紫外線や赤外線領域の放射を測定しなければならない.そして,干渉法や月による星食などを利用して視直径が得られれば有効温度を決定することができる.この方法を直接法と呼ぶ.
恒星の視直径の観測は容易なことではなく,利用できるデータは限られている.そこで,モデル大気を用いて間接的に視直径を得ることができることを利用して,上記の式から有効温度を決定する方法が案出された.この方法を半直接法と呼ぶ.
これら2つの方法は有効温度の定義に忠実な決定法であるが,半直接法でさえ実行は容易ではない.そこでさらに簡便な手法として,可視光や赤外部など限られた波長範囲内の放射分布とモデル放射を比較して有効温度を決定する方法があり,これを間接法を呼んでいる.
このカタログには以上の3つの方法で得られた有効温度の値を集録している.
さらに簡便に有効温度を決定するのにしばしば色指数(B-V や b-y など)が用いられる.色指数の観測は放射量の測定に比較すれば圧倒的に容易であるから,これが適用できるならば大変便利なことである.ただし,この場合は先に有効温度と色指数の関係を確立しておかなければならない.そのためには,色指数を用いることなく,何らかの方法で有効温度を決定しなければならないが,本カタログの有効温度は色指数とは無関係に求められたものであり,そのための材料とすることができるであろう.これがこのカタログを作成した目的の一つである.
表2に本カタログのもとになった文献(発表年は1971年から1992年)をあげておいた.必ずしも系統的に収集したわけではなく,たまたま筆者の目に止まったものに限定されている.完璧を期したかったのであるが,現在の筆者にはその余裕がなく,増して最新のデータを集録することなどなおさらおぼつかなく,不完全であることを承知の上で,試験的な予備版として発表することにした.
筆者はすでに本研究報告誌に恒星の有効温度に関する論考を発表しており(加藤・黒田 1992),有効温度の決定法等について触れているので,併せて参照していただければ幸いである.

Abstract
A catalogue of stellar effective temperatures, listing 2335 data files for 1231 stars collected from literatures, is given.

1. Introduction
We have compiled a catalogue of effective temperatures of stars (CASTET), obtained from direct, semidirect, and indirect methods (in the meaning of Bohm-Vitense(1982)) by various authors. Effective temperatures determined empirically from color indices such as B-V, b-y, and others are not included.
In this paper we present 1) a description of the catalogue with the outline of the classification of methods for the determination of stellar effective temperatures; 2) references of the data; 3) data of the catalogue.
2. Classfication of the methods
The methods for the determination of stellar effective temperatures have been classified as direct, semidirect, and indirect by Bohm-Vitense (1982).
The direct method is based on the observation of stellar fluxes for all the wavelength range atop of the terrestrial atmosphere in combination with angular diameter measurements. The effective temperature Teff is directly determined following its definition:
f = θ^2σ(Teff)^4/4,
where f is the total stellar flux received at the Earth, θ is the angular diameter of the star, and σ is the Stefan-Boltzmann constant.
The semidirect method is based on the measurement of total fluxes and the indirect determination of angular diameters with the help of model atmospheres. The studies of Underhill et al. (1979) and of Blackwell and co-workers(e.g., Blackwell and Shallis 1976; Blackwell et al. 1979, 1980) are classified as semidirect methods.
The indirect method is based on the comparison of the measured stellar energy distributions at a limited wavelngth range with model stellar fluxes. In this study, Kuruczユs(1979) ATLAS6 model atmospheres are preferred as reference model fluxes.
Table 1 gives a schematized summary of this classification with the corresponding code numbers adopted in this catalogue.

3. Literature
The CASTET lists 2335 data for 1232 stars. All the data are collected from the literature listed in table 2. The search was not systematic, being limited to some issues of some journals published from 1971 to 1992.
4. Arrangement
The CASTET lists the stars in the following order:
1 Name : The Bayer or Flamsteed designations or other identifications. Most of them are taken
from the Bright Star Catalogue (Hoffleit 1982).
2 HD/BD : HD number. HDE or BD numbers are cited when HD number is impossible.
3 HR : HR numbers in the Bright Star Catalogue.
4 Spectrum : Spectral types. They are taken from the Bright Star Catalogue and supplemented by
the catalogue of MK Spectral Classifications(Kennedy and Bascombe 1974; Buscombe
1977, 1980).
5 B-V : B-V index taken from from the Bright Star Catalogue, supplemented by the catalogue
of MK Spectral Classifications(Kennedy and Bascombe 1974; Buscombe 1977, 1980).
6 Rot : Rotational velocity V sin i in km s-1. Most of them are taken from the Bright Star
Catalogue.
7 Teff : Effective temperature of the star in Kelvin. Temperatures with lower accuracy are
marked with a colon(:), and those of mean values for variables are indicated with an
exclamation mark (!).
8 lg g : Logarithmic surface gravity represented in cgs unit.
9 lg R : Logarithmic stellar radius with repect to the Sun.
10 lg M : Logarithmic stellar mass with repect to the Sun.
11 M : Method of determination. The code numbers are shown in table 1.
12 Ref : The source of effective temperature, corresponding to first letters of two authors
followed by a published year.
All the sources are listed in table 2.
